The UFC has been tempted over to Utah for the second time in two years thanks to a boatload of cash. To make their client happy they’ve decided to trot out one of the faces of the promotion: Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira. For a challenger they went way down the list to find Khalil Rountree, fresh off a tainted supplement drug suspension.
Weirdness around the main event aside, this is a pretty decent card with lots of well known fighters. The co-main event is a bantamweight title fight between Raquel Pennington and Julianna Pena. Also on the card is Kevin Holland vs. Roman Dolidze, Jose Aldo vs. Mario Bautista and Kayla Harrison vs. Ketlen Vieira. There’s also some decent name value on the prelims with Stephen Thompson vs. Joaquin Buckley, Tecia Pennington vs. Carla Esparza and Court McGee vs. Tim Means.
As always, we’ve looked over the fights and made our picks. And you can see them all below. If you’re using this information for betting purposes — good luck! But also please gamble responsibly.
Alex Pereira (-500) vs. Khalil Rountree (+350)

Rountree has brief moments of technical brilliance, but they are horribly sandwiched between outrageously undisciplined haymakers and inactivity. He’s vulnerable whenever he tries to blitz into range and while he more often prefers to counter, he still leaves himself exposed by overthrowing a good portion of his counters.
