UFC Mexico: Brandon Moreno vs. Lone'er Kavanagh picks and predictions
See who we think will win in the Arena CDMX this weekend.
The UFC heads south to Mexico this weekend with a card that leaves a lot to be desired. There might be some fun scraps and there are a few interesting prospects (Santiago Luna, Imanol Rodriguez, Damien Pinas), but the name value here might be an all-time low.
The main event is OK. Brandon Moreno is a star, especially in Mexico, but he’s meeting the unheralded Lone’er Kavanagh. The youngster has come in to replace Asu Almabayev. Both Kavanagh and Moreno are coming off TKO losses (though, Kavanagh’s loss was a lot more clean cut).
The co-main event is Marlon Vera vs. David Martinez. The main card also has Daniel Zellhuber vs. King Green and Edgar Chairez vs. Felipe Bunes.
The prelims include the streaking (and twerking) Ailin Perez. She fights Macy Chiasson. The prelims also have the 40 year-old Douglas Silva de Andrade taking on Javier Reyes.
We’ve looked over the fights and picked who we think will be the winners.
Last week wasn’t pretty for us. That upset laden card resulted in me doing best overall, with just a 9-9 record. That, and my correct lock pick (Joselyne Edwards), was enough to push me up to second, though. I’m trailing Miguel. He’s been in the lead all year (not that I’m trying to jinx him or anything).
Scroll down to see our picks and locks for Saturday night!
