The UFC hits up Sacramento on Saturday. NorCal is one of the spiritual homes of American MMA, so it’s cool to see the big promotion stop there (even if NorCal MMA history goes far beyond anything UFC has managed to do in this area of the country).
We have a NorCal fighter in the main event in the form of Anthony Hernandez. He’s meeting the Brazilian ex-pat/Floridian Gregory Rodrigues. That’s in the middleweight division, with both men feeling pretty far off a title shot against current champ Sean Strickland.
The co-main event is Vitor Petrino vs. Serghei Spivac. Yup…
The rest of the card isn’t much to write home about. There is Reinier de Ridder vs. Roman Dolidze, though. You’ve heard of those guys, right?
The fighters aren’t as well known, but MarQuel Mederos vs. Mason Jones and Carli Judice vs. Jeisla Chaves might be very fun to watch.
As always we’ve looked over all the bouts and made our predictions. Last week Steph Haynes did the best out of all of us, going 11-5 with UFC 330. She’s on a real hot streak right now. As it stands she’s just one point behind Miguel Class in our standings. I was leading this thing all year until about a month ago (maybe you should fade me!).
Scroll down to see who we are all picking this week.
