We’re back to providing picks for each and every UFC card! However, these non PLE cards won’t include analysis, just those juicy picks.
We’re back at the newly named META APEX this weekend, too. That marks the first trip to the warehouse this calendar year. This is the first APEX card of the Paramount+ era and boy did they pick up from where they left off.
The co-main event sees Mario Bautista take on Vinicius Oliveira in the bantamweight division. Bautista has had a few chances to crack the top five at 135 lbs., but keeps coming up short (while being very boring in the process). Oliveira has risen through the ranks quite quickly, picking up underdog wins over some established names. And he’s been very exciting throughout all that.
The co-main event is Amir Albazi vs. Kyoji Horiguchi. Horiguchi looked sensational in his return to the promotion last year. He might earn a title shot with an impressive win this weekend.
Also on the main card is Jailton Almeida vs. Rizvan Kuniev, Michael Oleksiejczuk vs. Marc-Andre Barriault, Jean Matsumoto vs. Farid Basharat and Dustin Jacoby vs. Julius Walker.
The prelims are headlined by Alex Morono vs. recent TUF winner Daniil Donchenko.
We’ve looked over the records, stats and film and picked out winners for the weekend. So far, as a group, we’re hitting about .600. That’s OK, but we can do better (like last year).
