UFC Vegas 119: Kape vs. Horiguchi picks and predictions
See who we think will win this weekend at the META APEX.
We’ve gone from the White House to the warehouse this weekend, with UFC Vegas 119 taking place at the META APEX in Las Vegas. After the bizarre card last week, which had some pretty incredible fights, we’ve come back down to earth here with the typical slop we expect week in and week out.
That being said, the main event is excellent. Manel Kape vs. Kyoji Horiguchi should determine the next man up at flyweight, after Joshua Van rematches with Alexandre Pantoja. This is also a rematch. ‘The Gooch’ submitted ‘Star Boy’ back in their RIZIN days.
The co-main event is Navajo Stirling vs. Ion Cutelaba. That could be pretty good. Along with Stirling, there’s a couple of other interesting prospects on the card. Andre Lima, who fights Kevin Borjas, is 11-0 and a potential top ten flyweight. And Bia Mesquita might be a title challenger in-waiting. She’s going to try to stay undefeated when she meets Melissa Mullins.
We’ve looked over these match-ups, and more, and made our picks below.
Last week was a mixed bag for us. None of us saw Justin Gaethje breaking Ilia Topuria’s face. Most of us had Ciryl Gane putting down Alex Pereira, though.
I’m back atop the leader board, mostly due to me making Mauricio Ruffy (and not Topuria) my lock pick. Steph is right on my tail, though.
Scroll down to see who are locks are for this week!
