Can I put on my Devil’s Advocate hat and say that while Wall Street UFC has had a different feel, it has been very entertaining from another aspect. What I mean is that the business side of the UFC (TKO) has been absolutely fascinating to me.
Pollyanna me also cannot wait for 322 (MSG). To me it’s ridiculously stacked. Two potential GOAT defining title fights. Leon v Prates also is very fascinating. And 323 has the fight I am most looking forward to; Pantoja v Van.
Separately, a little example of unfortunate price gouging at the UFC Collectibles site. Event-used round cards (I know, I know, but I like certain fight memorabilia) used to be issued as framed. Unfortunately, UFC now sells them as just flimsy unframed cardboard at a higher price than the previous framed version (professional framing would typically cost $160 or more). NOTE: I won’t buy unframed.
Finally, I always have great respect for all that Ari has accomplished, given that he has dyslexia. He spoke (David Rubenstein interview) of how his mother would have him read so much after school to try and ensure it didn’t hamper his progress.

I wish I could say that covering the business side of UFC would make someone wealthy. It's covering what 1% of the 1% of current fans are into. Now, for you and I, it's endlessly fascinating but I can tell you that our biggest challenge at The MMA Draw is convincing readers that what is happening in politics, Wall Street, and private equity is going to change their lives permanently. But until it's directly in front of someone's face, it's a task that requires repetition.
The year-end UFC T-Mobile Arena cards now feel like channeling the inner spirit of WEC yearly. They won't draw by today's UFC value extraction standards but there is always something to watch out for. It just won't generate headlines or much heat.
